Smiley Manager
(Preliminary overview - More help/documentation as I find the time! ;)
The custom smiley
manager is a new feature and remains in Beta version, I have tried to provide
as much information as possible below.
Image below shows the 3
states of the smiley manager:
- Yahoo: Displays the default
Yahoo smileys
- Own Custom: Displays your own
customised smileys
- Remote: Displays the custom
smileys you have assigned for the current person

Every left mouse click
cycles through the 3 states. If you have not assigned any custom smileys the
default Yahoo will be displayed.
Right click users name
to assign a custom smiley set.
Right click the custom smiley manager
icon to display option menu:
From here you can assign your own
custom smiley set to be used in the chat window,
Creating new smiley set: Will create a
new set of smileys in the YEmote smiley directory for you to customise and
assign to a user. (default location is: C:\Program
Files\YEmote5\Smileys)
Force Update: YEmote will copy the
custom smiley directories to the Yahoo messenger at startup; To save time this
will not be done if the folder exists, to take into account any changes you may
have made to the YEmote custom smiley folders you should select this menu and
restart YEmote.

Set Display Options:

Swap Yahoo Smileys to
match YEmotes: The smiley graphics used by Yahoo Messenger are also
swapped to match those in YEmote E.g. if you assign custom1 set of smileys
to a user and their smileys are shown in YEmote, you will also see these
smileys used in your chat windows.

Always Use My Smileys
In Yahoo: The smileys displayed in the chat window will always be those
you have assigned to yourself, YEmote can still display the set used by a
remote person, but will not be used in the chat window.
